Story and Crew

Gulperi is the story of a woman who has been treated unjustly all her life just because she is a woman. Gulperi has had to give up on her dreams because of her father’s oppression: She had to let go of her first true love, Kadir and give up on college education towards becoming a teacher… Eyup, her husband, falls in love with Gulperi at first sight, and makes her believe in this love, too. Yet, Eyup’s family sees Gulperi as a bad surprise and never approves of her as their bride.

Following the unexpected death of Eyup, Gulperi is faced with the danger of losing her three children when she is slandered. Gulperi is freed after serving in prison for injuring her brother-in-law who attempted to molest her. When she goes back to the mansion to take her children, her husband’s family does not let her, sending her off to Istanbul. She works two jobs there in order to get her children back. With her old flame Kadir’s help, who is now a lawyer, she wins the custody trial and brings her children to Istanbul to live with her.

Gulperi’s biggest challenge will be to win back the hearts of her children, brainwashed by her late husband’s family, and help them adapt to their new life. In the meantime, their interrupted love story with Kadir, will take a new path toward blossoming again. Just when she starts feeling hopeful that she is on the right path to regain her children’s trust, the rekindled romance will jeopardize her hopes and force the two camps into a fiercer battle.
